Anna Tibaijuka - Helping Young Girls Achieve Education in Africa

Anna Tibaijuka is one of many remarkable women that is not known by many African Americans if any. Tibaijuka has been Executive Director of UN-HABITAT since 2010. The program stands for United Nations Human Settlements Programme. Anna role in the program is to improve poor communities. Also, Anna has a few other programs that focus on the rights of women development in Africa such as Tanzanian National Women's Council. Tibaijuka dedicates her life to helping young girls and women in Africa achieving education. Read more about Anna Tibaijuka.

I MATTER

I Matter Event - Law Enforcement, community leaders, ALNP Academy....

"I Matter" was an event produced by A Lady Named Pearl Modeling & Leadership Academy on August 7th at Gallery 992 in Atlanta, GA.
The event featured a panel discussion with members of law enforcement (Officer Erik Clanton and Officer Navada Stucking), youth leader Faise One and media specialist Tacoma Perry. This was followed by a presentation by ALNP Modeling & Leadership Academy with designers Afrocentric Network and Geek Junky. The event ended with performances by ALNP, Floyd Grant, Athena Renee, Chavis Flagg, Fasie One, Esau Parker and Jhelisa Anderson.
